What to Do While You Wait
Safety first. If you ran out on the road, get off it if you safely can - onto a shoulder, a side street, or a parking lot.
Keep your hazard lights on so other drivers can see your stopped car.
Stay out of traffic. Stay inside the vehicle with your seatbelt on if you cannot get fully off the road.
Do not smoke or use an open flame near the vehicle while you wait for fuel.
When This Fixes It

When It Doesn't
