Mobile Flat Tire Repair in Perth Amboy, NJ

We come to you - whether you're at home, at work, or at the roadside.

You walked out to your car and one tire is sitting flat on the rim. Maybe you felt it go soft while you were driving, or maybe you found it that way in the driveway or the work parking lot. Either way, you are stuck and you need it handled where the car sits.

That is exactly what we do. On Site Mobile Tire Service brings the tire shop to you - whether you are at home, at work, or at the roadside. We come to your car, inspect the tire, and repair it on the spot when a safe repair is possible.

A proper flat repair is a patch-plug installed from the inside of the tire. That means we take the tire off the wheel, clean the puncture from the inside, and seal it with a combination patch and plug unit. It is not a quick string plug pushed in from the outside.

What We Do on This Job

  1. 1

You call and tell us where the car is

Tell us the address or cross streets, what happened, and the tire size printed on the sidewall if you can safely see it. We take it from there.

  2. 2

    We come to your car

We arrive with the tools and equipment to lift the vehicle, remove the wheel, and break the tire off the rim right where you are parked.

  3. 3

We inspect the tire from the inside

Once the tire is off the wheel we can see the real damage. Punctures in the tread area up to 1/4 inch are generally repairable. We buff the inner liner and install a patch-plug combination unit from the inside.

  4. 4

    We remount, inflate, and check

The tire goes back on the wheel, gets seated and inflated, and we check the repair holds air before the wheel goes back on your car.

What to Do While You Wait

Safety first. If you are on the road, get off it if you safely can. Pull onto a shoulder, a side street, or a parking lot.

Turn your hazard lights on so other drivers can see you and your stopped car.

Stay out of traffic. Stay inside the vehicle with your seatbelt on if you cannot get fully off the road, or stand well behind a guardrail if one is nearby.

Stop driving on the flat. Driving on a flat can destroy a tire that could have been repaired. The sidewall gets crushed between the rim and the road. Stop and call.

When This Fixes It

A straight nail or screw puncture in the center tread, up to 1/4 inch, on a tire that was not driven flat, is generally repairable with an inside patch-plug.

You drive away on the same tire, properly sealed from the inside.

When It Doesn't

Sidewall and shoulder damage is not safely repairable. These areas flex too much for a patch to hold.

Cuts, tears, and tires that were driven on while flat usually mean the tire needs replacement.

We make the final call when we see the tire - some damage is only visible from the inside. If it cannot be safely repaired, we can install your spare or mount a replacement.
